Went to get the bike (Ducati Scrambler) ready to go to it’s new home and the lcd on the dash isn’t working properly.

All lights are fine, bike starts fine but either no characters are displayed on the dash or random ones will appear.

Knowing that the bike needs the dash to do checks and give the ok for the bike to start, it doesn’t seem like an issue with the dash itself and most likely dampness after getting into a connection somewhere.

Has anyone had something similar happen in the past before and been able to sort it without replacing the full dash?

Any tips for drying out contacts? There is wiring at the side of the tank that I’m thinking might be where the issue is located but didn’t spot anything.



Also, I did take off battery tender quick connectors before trying it so wonder if there’s a chance something shorted too.



Bike starts fine so doesn’t seem to be an issue with the battery itself.
