Rebel Read

I’ve just finished reading Phil Read’s autobiography entitled ‘Rebel Read’ subtitled ‘Prince of Speed’ which was the title of his earlier book. I know there are mixed opinions about Read and particularly his association with the TT, but I was a fan then and I still am now and I can heartily recommend his book. It’s well written with loads of great photographs. He does seem to have made things difficult for himself at times but nontheless he could certainly race motorcycles and his career record is really impressive.
