Day 4 of Europe trip
Day 4 of Europe trip
Sipping a few beers in hotel as I type this.
Got to Cherbourg Sunday morning at 10.30am. Rode over to ypres, Belgium. All B roads, so bout 7 hrs in saddle. Nothing spectacular. France is France.
Left ypres at 8am yesterday and headed south for Luxemburg. Belgium is more boring than France. Didn’t see 1 biker on my trip through Belgium. Stayed in a hostel, cheap and cheerful. Sunday & Monday were very cold. 4-9 deg. Heated grips worked.
Started off this morning at 6.45am. Nice roads down to Stuttgart. Again, all my journey is on B roads. Much more interesting than France & Belgium.
Petrol in France, I paid 1.70 LTR.
Belgium 1.40. Luxemburg 1.28. Germany it’s 1.45.
Heading on down to Salzburg tomorrow and then onto Czech, Slovakia, Croatia, Italy, Liechtenstein,back into Germany and France before return ferry on 17th.
