Provisional 2016 MotoGP calendar released

Provisional 2016 MotoGP calendar released

THE provisional calendar for next year’s MotoGP World Championship has been released.

The calendar was released this morning as the 13th round of the 2015 MotoGP World Championship begins, but it is still only provisional and is subject to change.

There have been minimal changes up to now, but Indianapolis has been replaced.

In comparison to the 2015 calendar, 2016 sees the addition of Austria’s Red Bull Ring in August in place of Indianapolis.

The British Grand Prix has moved to 17th July, but it will remain at Silverstone. The movement of the British Grand Prix allows British Superbikes to move Cadwell Park back to the August Bank Holiday.

The usual season opener is at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar whilst Valencia continues to end the season in November.
