Hi all, a quick query regarding getting back on two wheels and am probably flogging a dead donkey here.

Haven’t been on the road in over ten years (35 yrs young), spent some time travelling and the like. Was only ever covered here on 125’s and 250 2 strokes (RG-80, NSR125R, RGFun, RGV250, RS250), Honda 50 was my first (great for strapping on the fishing rods). As i mentioned spent some time abroad and have rode plenty of bikes up to 750 in the U.K. and the U.S. so killing myself should not be an issue. Have no claims against me but did bin a few of the bikes mentioned above:bag:

I will be getting the theory test and IBT out of the way before Christmas but am unsure as to insuring a GSX-R 6 K8. There seems to be a lot of conflicting reports regarding sports bikes and the likelihood of getting covered. I know you guys are not insurance brokers but any help is greatly appreciated.

I will be applying for cover on an A Licence, am i going to have to be prepared for a mammoth quote or just a flat refusal.
