One of the complaints of electric bikes is that they don’t have the heart and soul and sound of a proper bike with an engine. Well not for long. Italian company Electron 2 have developed what they call the McFly, (no doubt a reference to Marty).

Ride out on an inline-4, 600 or 1000 sports bike and after your burger hop onto a 1200 V Twin or maybe a 250 stroker. The McFly is fitted with four speakers and a subwoofer for vibration. There’s a dummy clutch and gear lever and the software emulates the sound and power delivery of whatever bike you select.

Personally, think I’d prefer my rattly oul Guzzi on the twisties, but I reckon this is what will become the norm in not too distant future.
