im looking at buying a road bike , its a uk import thats been irish registered but never taxed ,

shortly after it was imported the bike was crashed , very minor , feck all damage (didnt even need painting ) but was written off , due to a dent in the frame .

so if i buy this bike , whats the procedure with the paperwork he has ? vrt receipt ,,

(no log book issued as it wasn’t taxed)

and when i get that sorted can i get a letter from a shop that the bike is ok , or must it be main dealer ?

oh and its imported 7 years but unused on the road since crash ,,
