I won’t name and shame but it’s actually been annoying me since I got my tyres changed last week. I went to a reputable place that was doing a deal on a specific brand (would normally only use certain people for anything but the tyres were much cheaper here – and sure what could go wrong with a tyre change!).

I booked in early on a Friday and waited about 3 hours (which can happen as there were issues with another bike there before me) but the bike got wheeled out with two white scrapes on the tail about an inch long each. Hard to miss being a big fucking red yoke. I made the mistake of starting to wipe the white away to see what the fuck it was and the main guy saw this and asked what was up.

I pointed out that there were two white scrapes that when rubbed off left two scratches in the red paint. So the guy that did the tyres was called out and basically suggested I was liar because there was nothing white he could have made the mark with and that it must have already been there.

Now its a plain fucking red bike and there hadn’t been two white marks on it when I left it with the guy to change the tyres.

I’m not so much annoyed about the marks there as with the complete asshole reaction of the guy working on the bike. Had he apologised and said what happened I would have been grand, but being a fucking smart ass and saying he did nothing just makes me rage every time I look at it!

I have had a lot of bad experiences through the years I must say so I think my moral is find a good person you trust and stick with them! Sometimes going somewhere new for a deal or using an unknown can just end up a right pain in the asshole!
