From a dealer this is.

On the hunt for a decent sports bike. Saw a s/h one I was interested in advertised by a (main) dealer online – made the trek round to the emporium for a look at it.

Looked reasonable value – so asked if/how I could go about organising a test ride for later in the week. Was told, sorry mate we don’t really know you/have no idea whether you’d be able to handle a big (litre sized) bike so we can’t let you out on it.

Fair enough: I can understand where they’re coming from – but is that the norm out there these days ?
