Stafford

Headed over for the weekend, my first time going to the show. It was impressive, that’s for sure. Lots of cool, interesting bikes on display & the stalls/autojumble was full of stuff. I managed to pick up an exhaust can, a tail lamp & a set of indicators for my FT 500 project so I was ‘much pleased’ with that :biggrin_old: I also got a helmet for £50, I paid €120 for a lower spec version of the same helmet here last year. The place was full of people on both days & lots of them could be seen walking around with various bits & pieces under their arms or in bags, so business was obviously brisk. I bumped into our own Rainman on the Sat. but I didn’t meet any other Irish people that I knew. There was a large selection of bikes for sale outdoors, most of which were in the ‘project’ category & were fairly ropey. I did see ‘SOLD’ signs on some of them on the Sun. evening so obviously some changed hands. GOH for the weekend was Mr. McPint. The VJMC hierarchy was also present on both days. Those of you who get ‘Tansha’ & CMM would have recognised Steve Cooper, Andy Bolas, Emma Middleton & a few others. I also saw CMM contributor & engineering wiz Pip Higham & CBG editor Frank Westworth in the crowd. I really enjoyed the show & for my next trick I’d like to do the April show, just to compare notes. Needless to say, I took lots of pics……
