Well lads,

Bought an 05 ZX6R (C1H) a few months back off budgerman on here and was meaning to start one of these threads, but only getting around to it now.

I’ve loved these bikes since they first come and have always liked Kwaks over everything else since I was a kid. So getting this bike was kind of a big deal for me. I’m planning on keeping it for a good few years, so there will be a hell of a lot of work done to it – So I’ve decided to do a bit of a build thread (even though the bike is absolutely spotless already and well looked after by the previous owners).

Bike was left pretty standard except for a few minor mods – Black Double Bubble Screen, Black/ Green Pazzo Levers, Green Braided brake lines, rear hugger, Crash bobbins and Stomp tank grips.

I’m planning on getting a full Yoshi system for it, loads of carbon, I want to tidy the tail up a bit more as well, I’m thinking of mounting the number plate in underneath the tail and get rid of the current tail tidy that’s on it. I’ll also be taking the wheels off and getting them powder coated the same black as the frame and doing away with the rim tape. I’ll be adding new tyres to it after I get the wheels done – thinking of Pirelli Angel GT’s. I’ll also be getting the bike fully set-up for my weight and I’ll have to get a PC after changing the exhaust.

Seeing as I’ll have the bike for so long I will probably end up going over the top with it, so documenting the madness.

The previous owner being a gent then parcel motel’d me up the Seat cowl that he had ordered:

it’s a shade of green off but I will get it sprayed the right colour soon. It’s not too noticeable so I’m not worried about it at the moment. Also got the bike put over on to Irish plates in the mean time.
